Tallahassee’s Veteran’s Day Parade and Vet Fest

The 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run begins at 8 AM.

The Veteran’s Day parade begins at 10:40 AM at the intersection of Monroe Street and Tennessee Street. The route can be found here. The parade will stop at 11:00 AM for Taps and the conclusion of the 24-hour watch, silence during this time is appreciated. There will be eight gold stat families in attendance this year.

Vet Fest will begin after the parade in the Downtown Park (between Monroe and Duvall Street) with vendors featuring arts and crafts, food, awards, and a music. Tobacco Road Bans will perform in the Park.

The 246th Marine Corps Ball

Hosted by the Tallahassee Marine Corps League. The guest speaker for this year is Vietnam veteran Major Jon Shebel, USMC.

The dress code is formal and tickets are required.

It begins on Saturday November 13, 2021 at 6;00 PM. It takes place at the Capital City Country Club.

 

The 14th Annual Salute to Veterans Poker Run

This run begins and ends at Harley Davidson motors. The first bike will leave at 9:30 AM.

St. George Lighthouse Veteran’s Day Ceremony

St. George Lighthouse Association is hosting a Veteran’s Day Ceremony. This is in partnership with SGI Veterans Reveille Group and the 106th American Legion in Apalachicola. It begins at 11:00 AM in Lighthouse Park on November 11, 2021. More information can be found on their Facebook event page.

Major General Donald Ralph (US Air Force, Retired) will be the guest speaker.

Free climbs of the lighthouse will be offered to all military and light refreshment will be served after the ceremony.

 

Panama City’s 6th Annual Patriot 5K (run/walk) and 10K

This race is hosted by the American Legion Auxiliary Emerald Coast Unit 402. It is on November 13th, 2021.

It is a mostly shaded route. Early registration is $15-20.00, race day registration is $20-25.00. The packet pick up is at 6:00 AM and the race begins at 9:00 AM EST/8:00 AM CST.

 

Veteran’s Day Drive-Thru Appreciation Luncheon

This takes place in Gadsden County from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. It will be held in front of the Gadsden County Agriculture Building at 240 West Jefferson Street in Quincy, Florida.

Operation Thank You Breakfast

The breakfast event is in partnership with the Leon County Government and the American Legion Sauls-Bridges Post 13. This is being held in Leon County at the American Legion at 229 Lake Ella Drive in Tallahassee, Florida. It will begin at 6:30 AM and end at 9:00 AM. A ceremony/program will be held at 8:00 AM.

There will be a group photo schedule for the Air Force (7:10 AM), Army (7:20 AM), Coast Guard (7:30 AM), Marine Corps (7:40 AM), and Navy (7:50 AM).
