Wednesday, November 03: Happy Motoring is hosting Guest Bartending for Opening Nights. It begins at 5:30 PM. All the tips go to the fund “Opening Nights in Class.”

The 535 Social/Happy Hour will occur at Hearth and Soul at 7:00 PM. This is the monthly social event for the Tallahassee Network of Young Professionals.

Thursday, November 04: David Kirby will talk and sign books at Midtown Reader. Kirby wrote, Help Me, Information. The event begins at 7:00 PM.

Jonathan Foster will perform at the Blue Tavern at 5:00 PM.

Domi Station will have a watch party, featuring business ted talks at 5:30 PM.

The Village Square will host an online event with Johnathan Rauch.

The start of the North Florida Fair.

Friday, November 05: First Friday at Railroad Square. 621 Gallery’s Art Auction begins at 5:30 PM.

Anna Wescoat will perform at Hobbit South at 7:00 PM.

Members of the University Symphony Orchestra will perform at Opperman Music Hall at 7:30 PM. This is a free event.

Bradfordville Kiwanis’ Golf Tournament, with proceeds going to Children’s Lighthouse, occurs today. Tickets are $0-200.

The rescheduled Movie Night at the Musuem showcase of Disney’s Coco begins at 7:30 PM. This is being held at the Historic Capitol.

Saturday, November 06: Bar Jay Bar will perform at the Blue Tavern at 8:00 pm.

The UCT Artisan Market will occur from 9 AM to 3 PM.

Artisans in the Garden will occur at Tallahassee Nurseries at 9 AM-5 PM.

The Adams Street Flea Market will begin at 12 PM and continue until 3 PM.

The November Flea, which begins at Noon and ends at 3 PM, will be on the grounds of Happy Motoring.

A chunky knit blanket workshop will be available from 10 AM-1PM. Preregistration is required.

The General Meeting of the NAACP is happening at their Branch office at noon. New/interested members are welcome.

The Tallahassee Art Walk starts at 9:00 AM. This is a free tour (donations welcomed) that takes place over a 1.5-mile flat downtown area. It begins at the bus bench at Gay and Gaines Street and ends about two hours later. Art and history will be discussed and the murals around the area will be discussed. Registration is not required but would be appreciated.

The Havana Quilt Show and Sale begins at 10:00 AM at the Havana Main Street. There will be a raffle, with tickets available to purchase.

Collards and Cornbread Gathering starting at 12:00 PM at the Frenchtown IGrow Garden at 611 Dent Street.

Sunday, November 07: The second day of Artisans in the Garden will continue from 10 AM to 4 PM.

There’s a blood drive with OneBlood from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Appointments are encouraged but walk-ins are welcome.

The rescheduled Tallahassee Beer Festival begins at 3:00 PM at the Civic Center.

 

Monday, November 08: This is the first day of Tallahassee’s Start Up Week. Several events will be planned throughout the week. Domi Station’s website lists all the events they have.

Greg Dawson will be talking about his book, Hiding in the Spotlight, at Midtown Reader

Tuesday, November 09: The Little Dinner Series, themed Spirit of Peru, begins at 6:30 PM. Tickets/Waitlist information.

The Andean Ensemble Concert begins at 7:00 PM.

There’s a Virtual Happy Hour with the Gadsden Arts Center and Museum that begins at 5:30 PM. The event will talk about Florida artists in the Musuem’s Permanent Collection. A specialty cocktail will be created in honor of the artists.

Wednesday, November 10: Storytime (for kids) at the Grove begins at 10:00 Am. The story will be Fry Bread: A Native American Family Story by Kevin Noble Maillard. It will be held in the Florida Room.

A regency themed soiree featuring author Suzanne Allain. Celebrating the book and movie (coming out in February 2022), Allain will sign books at Hearth and Soul beginning at 5:00 PM.

Thursday, November 11: Tallahassee Network of Young Professionals Social Meet-up will be at Hanger 38. This is a members-only event.

Patti LaBelle will perform as part of Opening Nights starting at 7:30 PM. Tickets start at $75.

Tallahassee’s Veteran’s Day Parade begins at 11:00 AM

Friday, November 12: The start of the Tortuga Music Festival in Fort Lauderdale begins today. It ends on Sunday. A portion of the ticket sales goes to conservation efforts.

Havana’s Holiday Open House begins at 5:00 PM.

The Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra is performing “Star Wars: A Musical Celebration” beginning at 8:00 PM. Tickets are a first come, first serve situation.

The Energy Ball will be held at Goodwood Museum and Gardens beginning at 6:00 PM. There will be a silent auction and music by Dylan Ragpicker.

Midtown Reader is hosting Kristin Arnett as she talks about her book, With Teeth., at 7:00 PM.

Saturday, November 13: The Courage Through Cancer walk begins on the Paved Goose Pond Trail at Tom Brown Park, Pavilion 13. Registration is required.

The Elfin’ Fall Craft Show will be held at the Automobile Museum from 10 AM to 4 PM.

Mission San Luis is hosting a pine needle basket-making workshop. It begins at 10 AM and goes until noon. The price is $10-15.

Narratives of Necessity Book Club is meeting at the Foster-Tanner Gallery beginning at noon.

Crystal is teaching goat yoga at Goat House Farm starting at 1:00 PM. It is $22-25 for a session.

Tallahassee Exchanges Shop the Pop, a pop-up market just in time for Holiday shopping. It will be held in Cascades Park and feature small business, food trucks, and other entertainment. An outdoor movie will be shown at the end of the event. (Website in under construction).

Tuesday, November 16: Midtown Reader is hosting Jean Becker. Becker wrote the book The Man I Knew. The event begins at 7:00 PM at Midtown Reader.

Wednesday, November 17: Christina Christian will perform at The Wine House from 7 PM to 10 PM. There is a $5 cover.

Wonderful Wednesday at the Historic Roller Rink is beginning at 6:00 PM. Tickets are $5.

WTXL Turkey Drive with Second Harvest of Big Bend begins at 6:00 AM and ends at 6:00 PM. There are two locations for food and monetary drop offs.

Thursday, November 18: Ash Devine will be performing at the Blue Tavern at 5:00 PM.

Topgolf at Doak will begin today and end on Sunday the 21st. Tickets are required.

The Little Dinner series will continue with “Bullet Train Through Japan.” Tickets/Waitlist information.

Winterfall will occur at Esposito’s Gardens. There will be food, an auction, and music by Tobacco Rd Band. The event begins at 6:00 PM. Proceeds will benefit African-American Alzheimer’s Caregiver and Support 2 (ACTS 2) Project – an initiative of the Florida State University Foundation* and The Florida State University College of Medicine – across the Big Bend Region.

Friday, November 19: The Annual live Art Auction at 621 Gallery in Railroad Square.

Shoot the Moon, Killearn County Club’s nighttime golf tournament. This begins at 5:30 PM.

Tunes at the Terrace, featuring Travis Green, begins at 3 PM and the music begins at 7:00 PM.

Midtown Reader will host John Williams, who write Tales of Tillie. All proceeds will go to TMH Animal Therapy.

Bradfordville Blues Club will host Big Al and the Heavyweights at 7:30 PM.

Saturday, November 20: Beginning Blacksmithing workshop at Mission San Luis.

Crystal is teaching Goat Yoga at Goat House Farm. Registration is required.

The TFP (The Fuzzy Pineapple) Dessert Festival Shop begins at Noon. This is a free event.

The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is starting at 9 AM at Langford Green. The goal is to raise $65,000.

The “Festival of Trees,” hosted by Habitat for Humanity, will occur at Goodwood Museum and Gardens. The VIP portion will begin at 11:00 AM and the general portion will begin at 1:00 PM.

The Sundown Concert Series begins at Cascades Park, featuring the musical talents of Rock and Roll President. It begins at 7:00 PM.

Sunday, November 21: The second day of the Emerald Coast Christmas Bazaar, at Panama City Beach. There is crafts, retail, and food trucks. There is also a raffle and an early visit from Santa. The event begins at 10:00 AM.

 

Monday, November 22: Wine Tasting at Goodwood Museum and Gardens. Tickets are $20.

Thursday, November 25: The Turkey Trot, hosted by the Gulf Wind Track Company, begins at 8:00 AM with subsequent races starting at 8:30 AM. There is a 1 Mile, 5K, 10K, and 15K.

Friday, November 26: Blue Tavern is hosting their silent movie with live music beginning at 8:00 PM. The move being shown is Charlie Chaplin’s The Gold Rush, with accompaniment by Jack Quine.

Tunes at the Terrace begins at 7:00 PM. The musical performance is by Double Take.

Saturday, November 27: The first annual Small Business Saturday, with local vendors and food. Other small vendors are having events and promotions for Small Business, including some in Railroad Square Art Park.

Sunday: November 28: Christmas Made in the South festival occurs in Jacksonville. It’s a three-day event, that begins on Friday, November 26. There will be artisans and craft-makers. Tickets are $8 and one ticket will gain entry to all three days.

Tuesday, November 30: The Little Dinner series, “Escape to Morocco’s Casablanca,” will begin at 6:30. Tickets/Waitlist.

Wednesday, December 01: Jerry Mitchell will talk about his book, Race Against Time, at Midtown Reader. There will be a book signing. Mitchell is an investigative journalist who wrote a book about the Mississippi Burning case.

Thursday, December 02: The Little Dinner series continues with the SoHo Speakeasy. There is a cocktail reception and four-course dinner. Tickets are on sale October 01 and a waitlist is available.

Friday, December 03: Ted Benoit and Samantha Fish will perform at the Moon. Doors open at 6;30 PM. Whiskey Faithful will be performing at the Bark starting at 9:00 PM.

Greg Pittman, who wrote The State You’re In, is talking to Midtown Reader

Movie Night at the Ballpark will show Marvel Studio’s Black Widow. Tickets begin at $10.
