Friday, August 9:
The Currys will perform at Fifth and Thomas, dinner is available at 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the band taking the stage at 8:00 PM. Tickets are $15 in advance and $18 at the door. You must be 21+ to enter. After ticket purchase, seating is a first come, first serve situation.
Drew Tillman will perform at the Farmer's Daughter Vineyards Tasting Room in Thomasville, Georgia. Begins at 6:30 PM, event is free.
The Mae West Band will perform at Hurricane Bar and Grill, starting at 6:00 PM. The event is free.
Adult Field Day at FSU’s Intramural Fields begins at 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. You must 18+ to participate. This event is benefiting the Hang Tough Foundation.
An open house party between wHERk and Tessa’s Doll House and Tea Party at the SouthWood Town Center begins at 6:00 PM and ends at 8:30 PM. There will be a DJ and food. wHERk is a co-working space while Tessa’s is a tea party (for children and adults) party space.
Saturday, August 10:
Saturday morning features two markets, one downtown (9 AM - 2 PM) and one in Frenchtown (10 AM - 2 PM).
The Pyramid Players are presenting their eighteenth annual musical at the Moon. It’s called ‘Wild Times at the Lucky Star.’ The doors open at 5:00 PM, with a silent auction. Also, a performance by the Pyramid’s band, The Electric People, at 6:15 PM. Tickets are $10.
Selwyn Birchwood is performing at the Bradfordville Blues Club beginning at 9:00 PM. Tickets are $20.
The Sprouted Sprig Pop Up Shop at Happy Motoring Bar from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The Tally Mac Shack will also be there with food.
The Apalachee Chapter of the Florida Trail Association is hosting a 3.1 mile hike at the Apalachee Regional Park Cross-Country Course. Sign up online, show up at 8:45 AM (the walk starts promptly at 9 AM).
The Tallahassee Museum is hosting Tomahawk throwing with their resident blacksmith, Murph. This begins at 10:00 AM and ends at 3:00 PM. There is no added fee for this, just the museum entrance rate (free to $12).
Sunday, August 11:
The Lewis Spring House, a Frank Lloyd Wright designed house, opens their doors to tours on the second Sunday’s of every month. Spring House is the only Frank Lloyd Wright home in Florida that was designed and built in Lloyd’s lifetime. Admission is $15, the hours are from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Children 12 and under are free to admit.
The Wilding Studio is teaching a Ballroom Basics class from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. It is $15 per couple.

Monday, August 12: Goodwoods Museum is hosting Chair Yoga, a beginner’s class. It’s free, and begins at 12:00 PM to 12:50 PM.
Tuesday, August 13: FAMU’s Meek-Eaton Southeastern Regional Black Archives and Museum is presenting Flourishing Roots of Our Past. This collection is comprised of documents and artifacts from the Kinsey African American Art and History Collection. It is free for the general public and the hours of the museum are from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The Kinsey Collection is available until September 11th.
Wednesday, August 14: Farmer’s Market at Bannerman Crossing from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Also, a farmer’s market at Lake Ella from 11:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Mariano Rodriguez is performing at the Lab at Birds Aphrodisiac Oyster Shack starting at 6:00 PM. There is no cover.
Thursday, August 15: Food Truck Thursday at Lake Ella begins at 5:30 PM and goes until 8:30 PM. The band playing is Top Shelf Band and they’ll start at 6:30 PM.
Jazz Night at Level 8 Lounge starts at 8:00 PM. It features students from the Florida State School of Music. Admission is free.
Starry Summer Nights Sips & Stories at the Florida Historic Capitol Museum begins at 5:30 PM and ends at 7:00 PM. Tickets range from $20 to $25, depending on membership; reservation is required. Wine and cheese will be provided.
Thursday Night Music Club is performing it’s 12th Annual Jazz Showcase Concert. Doors open at 7:00 PM with the music beginning at 7:30 PM at Ruby Diamond Concert Hall. Tickets are $5.
The Tallahassee Museum is hosting a Night Prowl, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM, this event costs either $9 or $12. The event is August 17 but tickets must be bought in advance and August 14th at noon is the last time to buy.
